It provides an efficient and comprehensive research experience across the following areas:

  • Singapore Case Law
    Contains the Singapore Law Reports from 2010, Singapore Law Reports (Reissue) (1965 - 2009), Judgments, Tribunal/Board Decisions of Singapore, The Heritage Law Reports and more.

  • Malaysia Case Law
    Contains the Malayan Law Journal (MLJ) from 1932. The MLJ is the only local series of law reports to be published continuously since 1932, except during the war years. It includes cases from Singapore prior to full independence in 1965, as well as from the Straits Settlements, Federated Malay States, Malayan Union and Federation of Malaya. The Malayan Law Journal currently reports judgments of the Malaysian Federal Court, Court of Appeal and High Courts; the Brunei Court of Appeal and High Court, and appeals from Brunei to the Privy Council. PDF format is available for MLJ cases from 2006 onwards.

  • English Case Law
    Contains the complete archive of judgments and PDF's of the Law Reports and the Weekly Law Reports from 1865 onwards, as provided directly by the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales under licence from Eastern Book Company. More information can be found here.

  • Indian Case Law
    Contains the Supreme Court Cases (SCC) from 1969 which provides comprehensive coverage of Indian Supreme Court case law. More information can be found here.

  • Australian and New Zealand Legal Materials
    This content is provided free by AustLII and is available for searching and accessing directly within Lawnet/Legal Workbench. AustLII's vast online databases include cases, legislation and selected secondary materials from all the Australian jurisdictions as well as New Zealand. More information can be found here.

  • Reference Material
    A stable of secondary legal materials is available, including Singapore and Malaysia's leading academic legal journals, legal updates from leading Singapore and Malaysian law firms, and a variety of textbooks such as Court Practice Manuals for Civil Procedure and Sentencing Practice in the Subordinate Courts of Singapore.   • Singapore Legislation
    Provided by the Attorney-General's Chambers of Singapore, the Legal Workbench hosts Singapore's only versioned legislation database, which captures all versions of statutes, subsidiary legislation and selected Government Gazette supplements created after 1 January 1997.

  • Singapore Parliamentary Reports
    A service of the Parliament of Singapore, the Singapore Parliament Reports System makes available in full-text format the official reports of debates (commonly known as Hansard) in the Legislative Assembly of the Colony and later the State of Singapore, and the present Parliament of Singapore, as well as sessional and select committee reports, from 1955.

  • Singapore Treaties
    The Singapore Treaties Database, maintained by the Attorney-General´s Chambers, contains records of treaties to which Singapore is a party, including exchanges of letters, memoranda of understanding, and other agreements regarded as treaties under international law. Key treaties are available in full-text format.
